I'm Blake Clover.
When I was 9 years old I picked up my mom's old camera after we had taken some family photos outside and I captured the picture you can see below. Immediately, I was transfixed by the little camera screen seeing the image I had just produced. From that moment on, I started obsessively experimenting, learning, creating, and exploring more and more within the world of photography. Being homeschooled allowed me to have many daily opportunities to explore this newfound passion.
Born and raised in San Diego, California, beauty is everywhere. The magnificence of sunsets inspired me beyond words. If I didn't have my camera with me while at a beach I wouldn't feel complete. People started to notice me with a camera glued in my hands at all times, which inevitably led to my church asking me to take some pictures for their website. Then a mom wanted senior portraits for her kids, then a couple for their engagement, then a family for portraits, and before I knew it I was shooting my first wedding. It became almost addicting to see my client's reactions when they first saw the pictures I'd taken for them. I can still hardly believe my dream job as a 9-year-old kid has now become my career. Ever since, I've been able to use my skills to photograph weddings, elopements, proposals, portraits, families, events, and landscapes all over the world (Don't worry, I use a much better camera now).
